Clan Robinson took a trek from New Jersey up to Niagara. Of course, we needed to stop in Buffalo to meet up with Mike "Bunky" Buncaldo and Mark "The Mauz" Maussner. We participated in a tasting to determine the best Buffalo Wings - Elmo's, or the original maker of Buffalo Wings - The Anchor Bar.
The Anchor Bar maintains its status as the original and unmatched in Buffalo Wing styles, although Elmo's has something going with its Cajun style, which should not be missed. It was good to catch up with Bunky (and the fabulous (and obviously very patient and forgiving) Mrs. Bunkster!), and the Mauz, who does all the advertising promotion for the Anchor Bar, among other fabulous brands. Look out for recordings from the Bunkster's band - I heard rumors they have been around the studio. The Maussner family opened their home to the Robinson clan for a couple nights and we had much fun amongst Friends and Brothers. Melia Maussner was a hit with the Robinson boys, and she had them running her errands for her immediately. Mrs. Maussner and Mrs. Robinson promised to share tea recipes and arrange for more frequent get-togethers, next one maybe at the Jersey Shore. Have not seen in awhile, but try to stay in touch with Kirk Lenga, Karim Ahmed, Pao Poa, Louis Franz, and others in the NYC region (ran into Kenny Wilson on a subway one day, too). Anyone in NY/NJ, drop a line. I'm working at EMC Consulting now (a division of the big storage company) in the Financial Services group. Leading a team of 60+ at a client site doing everything from Project Management to Business Analysis and UAT. If you're looking for a job or a change, let me know - we need more good people, as the account is just growing.
